Future Will Beat is a work created by Neve in 2009 for the Con-temporary Art exhibition at Superstudio Più, Milan, in collaboration with Ivan il Poeta.
"Future Will Beat" is a large-scale installation created by Neve in collaboration with Ivan il Poeta for the entrance of Superstudio Più in Milan, as part of the group exhibition Con-temporary Art in 2009 — a show that also featured Shepard Fairey (Obey) and Banksy. The work combines Neve's figurative painting — a woman holding a light, intimate and monumental at the same time — with Ivan il Poeta's text panels, scattered across the facade like pages from a book that has come apart in the wind. Photographed at night, in the rain, with silhouettes passing beneath umbrellas, the installation takes on a cinematic quality: the future arriving slowly, under wet light. The title is a declaration. Not a hope — a certainty. The future will beat.
